Part 11 ok Bulfinch's mythology talks about perseus and all of his journeys and everything that he did. This included what happened with Atlas, Medusa and Andromeda, which are all very well known mythological characters. On these stories, they show about what Perseus did. This is kind of what happens to Ulises in Homer's Odessy. In Greek myths they talk about heroes and their accomplishments. Also they talk a lot about the gods and what they did to stop or to favor these heroes. This is exactly what they do in these stories. They talk about Perseus and the was he gets in toush with supernatural creatures and with the gods.
The language can get somewhat confusing. Right at the beginning, you know it is an older writing. This is because of the complex language. Sometimes it seems like it doesn't make sence and you have to re-read to get the content. The way the narrator expresses himself is very different to how a modern day story would be written. You can also take in account that these writings were probably written in Greek and later passed to english and other languages. This might also change the writing itself and the words it uses.
